Hosted by Enrica Sacca, PPMNY Queens Organizer, and owner of the Lifestyle Building, you’ll enjoy a communal meal and have a chance to pick up new recipes to inspire the rest of your healthy summer.
We’re getting active at The Lifestyle Building. Come out for this family-friendly Earth Month event on Sunday, April 24th at 12:00 PM to connect with how our food is grown. Led by Plant Powered Metro NY organizers Danielle Medina and Enrica Sacca, we’ll practice some yoga, explore the garden, and hear how whole plant foods nourish our bodies and help protect the planet! We’ll wrap up the hour by creating a delicious springtime salad featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Join us for screening of the documentary, They’re Are Trying to Kill Us. A film where influencers, from Hip Hop, medicine, sports, entertainment, and politics weigh in on the “singular most deadly threat to American society that mainstream media doesn’t want to talk about. After the film Fitness Expert and PPMNY Brooklyn Organizer, Danielle Medina, AFAA, ACE, RYT will open discussion as a woman of color about nutrition, the marketing of dairy and the ramifications on health and social inequality within the black community.
Join us for a screening of the documentary, The Game Changers. After the film, fitness expert and PPMNY Brooklyn Organizer Danielle Medina, AFAA, ACE, RYT, will share how we can adjust our behaviors to make healthy lifestyle changes possible, empowering ourselves to improve athletic performance, enhance mental health, and raise a healthy family. We'll close the evening with a Q&A.
